I read my first Cecelia Ahern novel a few years ago, and I really enjoyed it. I find myself thinking about that book from time to time and so I wondered if another of her novels would have the same effect.
The Gift is a great magical winter read. I don’t think I could explain it if I tried, although very briefly, I will say it’s about a guy who figures out how to be two places at once, with assistance from a homeless man.
It has the underlying message of “don’t take life for granted” or “appreciate the time that you have”, but it has you asking yourself “if you were given extra hours in a day, what would you do with them?”
I really like Cecelia Ahern as an author. I would say that I didn’t enjoy this book as much as I did her first book (A Place Called Here), but I still liked it enough to recommend to anyone looking for a smooth and easy read.
